Happy Birthday to Me!

Once a year, I get very excited about a certain month. That month, my dears, is March. And the reason? My Birthday! I love birthdays. I love the feeling of a new year to explore and create and enjoy new things. I love wishing for presents and seeing all of my family. I love looking back over my life and the memories I have made. I love sharing my birthday with my grandfather. I love that Spring Break has always fallen close. I love celebrating the whole month through, just because I can. XO.

21 Before 21

Finally (Finally!) I've decided on twenty-one tasks I want to accomplish before my 21st birthday rolls around next March. A lot of things have occurred since March of this year and I've been horrendous to my poor blog, neglecting it until just yesterday. BUT! That shall change, I pinky promise. So here it is, the official (may possibly change again but probably not) list:
  1. Pet a llama.
  2. Go to Hogwarts.
  3. Gamble at a Casino.
  4. Buy and play a ukulele.
  5. Have a picnic.
  6. Go to St. Augustine.
  7. Plan my 21st Vegas Trip.
  8. Bake a rainbow layer cake.
  9. Get an iPhone.
  10. Go to NYC.
  11. Perfect one dinner recipe.
  12. Go to at least one big museum.
  13. See a fortune teller.
  14. Visit NASA.
  15. Finish my Ariel cross-stitch.
  16. Eat a yummy banana Split.
  17. All A’s and B’s in my classes.
  18. Find Sailor Moon on DVD.
  19. Camp in a tent.
  20. Revamp my clothing collection.
  21. Buy a Diana Lomo camera.
There ya go! Now just to wish and wish all of these lovely things into my life. Some are slightly easy and others take a lot more work, but, if I'm sure of anything, this shall turn out to be one exciting year! XOXO.

Sweet Nothings: Summer Lovin' Edition!

Sheesh, I think I may melt down here with this 106 degree heat! Wasn't it only a few months ago that I was freezing my patootie off and wishing for hot chocolate and fuzzy boots? Now I'm hoping that Boulder will require my new (chocolate brown-finally-found-it!) cardigan and counting down the days until my car ices over. I swear, Georgia only has two weeks of happy medium weather.

But! That is all beside the point. The point is that I have ten gorgeous photos to share with you from the last couple months of bug bites, sun burns, and hot hot hot!

Welcome to Sunny Florida!
I drove down for one weekend to surprise the boyfriend and pick up my little brother
the weekend of June 18th.
Just so happened that Hunter's band, Alpacalope, (hehe) was going to jam on Saturday
at his "Birthday Gig". They were awesome, and I was a proud girlfriend.
(Though I wish I had gotten better photos.)
However, all trips must come to an end. Corykins and I drove back to my Peach State
fueled by energy drinks and too many snacks.
I was so happy to come home and see my Baby Belle though! She's getting so big!
CoryBear learned that the best way to walk Remi and Lottie is in the form of a doggie sled team.
We day-tripped to the National Infantry Museum right off post the other day. It was quite amazing.
I'll try to put up more of these pictures later.
We saw fireworks on the 3rd of July and colored the road/sidewalk with chalk.
Photography by my very patient brother. You wouldn't believe how many photos we had to take to get this.
"Happy 4th of July!" and "We love our soldier!"
And last but certainly not least, Miss Charlotte Belle has learned to chase bubbles!

All of the photos that look fancy were done using Picnik. If you haven't tried it, I highly suggest going there rightthissecond! It's free for all of the basic things, but if you want any of the super special editing stuff you have to pay a nominal subscription fee. Honestly though, all of this was done with the basic package and I haven't paid a cent.

I'm off to Florida on Sunday and then off to Colorado next Wednesday, so I am going to be a busy little bee until then. Pinky promise, I'll take lots of pictures and upload them as soon as I can. Now off to pack and clean and hope that all of my clothes fit in my suitcase! XOXO.

Bonjour mon chiot!

Enchante mes bichettes! Je m'appelle Charlotte! Or for all of you un-fancy people: Nice to meet you dears, I'm Charlotte!
I was born back in January to a Cocker Spaniel mommy and a Poodle-Chihuahua daddy (making me an adorable Cockapoo). I grew up in a house with my brothers and sisters and then took a roadtrip down to meet my new humans. I snuck into a dorm room and everything! My new home is very big, but I'm getting used to the stairs.
The first night I was home my humans put me into the bathtub! Look how silly they made me look:
How embarrassing! I did smell better at least, and that was pleasurable. I think next time I have a bubble bath I'll be buying some Pet Head or possibly splurging on some yummy John Paul Pet. They smell so good! Mommy says I need all of my puppy shots before I can go shopping though.
Luckily my Mommy went shopping for me. She bought an adorable collar for me, but we think it's magical because I always end up falling asleep when it's on me. I was also gifted with a pretty pink frisbee, some chewy sticks, a squeaky sheep, and a pink ropey toy.
Well it was very nice to meet you all! I will probably be taking over my fancy Mommy's blog in the future, so look forward to hear from me! I'll leave you with a few more pictures to fawn over:
With Mommy and Remi before my bath.
Eating a pansy in my yard. Miam Miam! as the French say.
Attacking my mommy. Sometimes we get silly and I lick her face.
Rawrrr! I was trying to eat Mommy's camera strap.
And this last one was taken by Mamma Dee. She thought I'd make a cute Wahine.
Enjoy! XOXO Charlotte
Oh and P.S. Excusez-moi for my bad grammar this evening. Mommy is still sleepy from the time change and is having a bit of difficulty translating my puppy French into English. RĂªves doux!

Happy Birthday To Youuuuu!

Happy Birthday, Cory!
My Baby Brother turned 16 today. I wish I could sit here and tell you a sob story about how we were the perfect siblings and always played well together, but that wasn't always the case. Cory and I, we used to fight like cats and dogs. I'm talking hair pulling, punching, kicking, the whole nine yards. It was always slightly comical though, because for years I was bigger than he was and could beat him up. Then all of a sudden one day, he had a growth spurt. Now, my little "baby" brother isn't such a baby anymore. The picture is almost a year old now, and since then he's probably grown another three or four inches. It was then that I realized he could beat ME up now!
Even though we did bicker a lot when we were younger, we quickly went right back to being best friends. Some of my best memories involve Cory.
SUCH AS: playing in cardboard boxes (minus the head injuries); straightening his bangs for him; beating up a much larger boy (more about that story later possibly) because he was threatening Cory; staying up late at night Christmas Eve telling him "No Cory, Santa is totally real" so he would still believe; trying to calm him down when he was drugged up on anesthesia and screaming profanities at the top of his lungs; riding the bus with him and trying to run to catch up to him when he'd yell at me for almost making him late; telling him stories about fairies that live in the air conditioner; snow boarding on the hill in our backyard and exploring in NY; falling into a stream while exploring in NY; stealing Ice Bat back and forth; "dancing" with him when we'd kick each other; playing on the dirt piles when the new houses in our neighborhood were being built; Puffy Stew; Cory asking me for fashion advice "Does this match?"; having his nose almost cut off, breaking his arm Pogo-sticking off a skateboard ramp, head injuries in a box, and always being there to make him better and pretend to be the Mommy.
I love my brother, and I'm so proud of him. He's a genius when it comes to building things and fixing things. He knows everything about military planes and loves to watch Spongebob and SouthPark with me. He's goofy and knows how to make me laugh when I need it, and he always tells me like it is. I hope he had a great birthday today. [: XOXO!
