Hello Kitty Band-aids & Flowered Headbands

So my cord still isn't working. I went to buy a new one and then saw how expensive they were and left the store. I left quite a few stores empty handed today. Except JoAnn's. But that was only due to a kind woman giving me a coupon as she walked out of the store and my inability to turn down saving money. Anyway! I just emailed myself a few of the photos so I could get something up. I feel like if I stop blogging again, even for a few days, it's going to be just that much harder to pick it up in full force.
These are some photos from... sometime this week. I forget what day actually. It was nice out, so it had to be Monday-Thursday? And Taylor took them so I'm guessing it was possibly Wednesday? For someone who hates wearing the same outfit two weeks in a row, I sure have a terrible clothing memory. Oops. Also, sorry about the not-so-great quality. Pretty sure next time I need outfit pictures I'm going to just drag out my Canon. It's heavy, but the picture quality is so much better. This may have been the day where I was suffering from PDD, or post-Disney depression, and that's why my hair is up. That day was just no good at all. Everything kept going wrong and I felt like crying all day. It was kind of ridiculous. Actually, I think this was Tuesday. I cut my arm on Monday and that's why I have a Hello Kitty band-aid on. Yeah, definitely Tuesday.
Dress- Bealls; Shirt- Hollister/thrift find; Belt- Ross; Sunglasses- American Eagle/Ross; Headband- F21
This headband is kind of my favorite right now. It looks like just fabric, but it's got a wire piece inside so it's bendy! and so comfortable.
Pippa's Leash/Collar- Petsmart

Little side story, I didn't realize until last Friday that there are people in Petsmart specifically there to sell you their brand of dog food. An employee casually talked to me about a shirt I was getting for Pip and then segued into a ten minute spiel about why the dog food I bought was the worst on the market and that I needed to buy his. Of course he was polite and I'm way too polite to just leave the guy, so I went along with it, but really. I wanted to get in and get out and they should know that I'm too nice to say no! Also, his brand was 3x the price of the one I buy. No way, Jose. Next time I'm in there, I'm definitely bringing Pip as back up so I can excuse myself so she can pee.

Now to go read Mockingjay. Yes, you've read that correctly. I've finished the second book in one day. Taylor comes home sometime after midnight from his BIG GIANT WONDERFUL WIN! and I've got a lot to do tomorrow, so I doubt I will be up late reading tonight. As soon as I get a new cord, you shall have new pictures. XO.

P.S. Our 52 Dates of 2012 should be returning promptly next week! We've been so busy lately that we've done things together but haven't pulled any from the jar. I'll be so happy when, after next weekend, we can stop running for a couple weekends and just hang out.

Weekend Recap Wednesday

Once again I went on a blogging binge and then got busy. Go figure. The reason for this busyness was well warranted- a weekend away with Miss Pippa and then playing catch-up once I got home. So here I am, playing catch-up on this little blog as well, my dears. This past weekend, Taylor headed out of town for a rugby game and I headed to my relative's for a mini-vacation. I drove over Friday, we trekked to the Hoggetowne Medieval Faire on Saturday and spent Sunday together on the 10-Acre Woods (what I like to call their property). Another post should be flying in shortly about just the Faire, so stay tuned!
Giving kisses before we get on the road! She had a Vet appointment before we could take off, so Taylor was kind and took these pictures for me.
Wearing Leopard in honor of my great-grandmother, Memire's birthday.
Pssst! Pippa is driving! Don't tell the puppy police that she hasn't gotten her license, though.
Playing with her second-cousin and her brother, Bandit. Yes, Bella was pushing her in the stroller.
Good morning! Trying to drink her mommy's coffee on Sunday.
Learning to slide. Wheeeee!
Learning to swing. Not very enthused about this one...
Princess riding her trike around. Pip was kind of scared of this.
Bella decided it was a much better idea to push Pippa in the wagon. Also, as I was taking this picture I forgot the word for that red thing with wheels that you pull. Leave it to the three year old to remind me of "wagon".
Making Valentine's with my Grandma KDK and the kiddos to send to the soldiers in my step-dad's office. All of the cards say "To: Our Heroes".
More to come as soon as I can re-save all of the Faire pictures to their correct locations. XO.

Bonjour mon chiot!

Enchante mes bichettes! Je m'appelle Charlotte! Or for all of you un-fancy people: Nice to meet you dears, I'm Charlotte!
I was born back in January to a Cocker Spaniel mommy and a Poodle-Chihuahua daddy (making me an adorable Cockapoo). I grew up in a house with my brothers and sisters and then took a roadtrip down to meet my new humans. I snuck into a dorm room and everything! My new home is very big, but I'm getting used to the stairs.
The first night I was home my humans put me into the bathtub! Look how silly they made me look:
How embarrassing! I did smell better at least, and that was pleasurable. I think next time I have a bubble bath I'll be buying some Pet Head or possibly splurging on some yummy John Paul Pet. They smell so good! Mommy says I need all of my puppy shots before I can go shopping though.
Luckily my Mommy went shopping for me. She bought an adorable collar for me, but we think it's magical because I always end up falling asleep when it's on me. I was also gifted with a pretty pink frisbee, some chewy sticks, a squeaky sheep, and a pink ropey toy.
Well it was very nice to meet you all! I will probably be taking over my fancy Mommy's blog in the future, so look forward to hear from me! I'll leave you with a few more pictures to fawn over:
With Mommy and Remi before my bath.
Eating a pansy in my yard. Miam Miam! as the French say.
Attacking my mommy. Sometimes we get silly and I lick her face.
Rawrrr! I was trying to eat Mommy's camera strap.
And this last one was taken by Mamma Dee. She thought I'd make a cute Wahine.
Enjoy! XOXO Charlotte
Oh and P.S. Excusez-moi for my bad grammar this evening. Mommy is still sleepy from the time change and is having a bit of difficulty translating my puppy French into English. RĂªves doux!

Sweet Nothings: Puppies

Happy Sunday evening/almost Monday morning!
I don't know about you, but I think puppies are some of the most adorable little creatures on Earth (only after bunnies I think.. cats are about equal). I love how much emotion you can see in them. You know when they're happy and when they think you're crazy and when they're upset. I've been trying to talk anyone who will listen into getting me a puppy for quite awhile now. I get the same answers: "Skye, you think poop is gross." "Skye, you can barely afford your own gas money at the moment." "Skye, they're a big responsibility." "Skye, they're so expensive!" "Skye, where will it live when you move out?" I do see all of the reasoning behind these however, and therefore, have not gotten a doggy for myself yet.
I think the most exciting thing about having one (besides a dog being man's best friend and all) is getting to name it! You don't have to follow conventional naming rules with animals, so naming your cat Fursnickety (true story) is totally acceptable. Here's a quick list of animals that I remember having and there names:
  • Sailor Moon was a cat.
  • Bibbity and Bobbity were hamsters.
  • We had fish and turtles a few times, but I only remember Jackie, our Beta fish.
  • Molly, our dog in Kansas named after the Unsinkable Molly Brown on the Titanic. She used to catch snowflakes.
  • Elsmina (Mina), my gorgeous Siamese in NY. She had kittens, but we didn't keep them. It was horrible when she got sick and we had to put her to sleep.
  • Buddy's our puppy we got in NY. Before Mamma and John left for Hawaii, they sent him to live at my grandma's, where he still lives.
  • Domino was Suz's cat before she married my dad. He lived outdoors and had been named everything from Oreo to Checkers by all of the neighbors. I remember when he carried in a bird from outside, and his ashes are in our TV cabinet.
  • Ellie was Mamma and John's cat in Hawaii.
  • Darwin was also there's and is now living with the wonderful Miss Debbie.
  • Remy is our cute puppy who spins in circles and is becoming an old man. His breath smells, but he's such a sweetie.
  • Pixie is our kitty. She likes to chase things and sneak outside and eat our grass.
  • Fursnickety, Hunter, and Zeek live in Florida with my dad and Suz. They're all quite fat, but have a very loving family.
Wow, I never realized how many pets I've had in my life. I don't think I would enjoy living in a house without another living being there with me. I talk to myself way to much to live totally alone. When I finally move out I figure I'll at least need a fish, more preferably a dog or a cat though. I helped my ex care for a deformed bunny once who was so adorable, I wouldn't mind one of them either. (Not a deformed one though, it was too terribly sad when it died. It's name was Thermopoli or Themistocles or something, I never could get it right.) It's nice to be able to come home and sit on the couch and watch TV with a cute furry thing by your side. Somehow they seem to make everything better. It's as if they look and you and say "Really Skye, life isn't all that bad; you have me" and then all of your troubles just become insignificant. XOXO.
