Telegrams from Tuesday

A weekly post for OhmySkye! Dedicated to my favorite little puppy and the half-price watercolors I bought the other day that have kept me company all weekend.
So late tonight because I've been busy with this little lady and a broken boyfriend -puppies and sprained ankles make any day more difficult, but I wouldn't trade these two for the whole world. Expect an outfit post in the next few days and my birthday is on Saturday! so I'll be gone this weekend. The Emily Dickinson poem can be found here. XO.

Weekend Recap Wednesday

Once again I went on a blogging binge and then got busy. Go figure. The reason for this busyness was well warranted- a weekend away with Miss Pippa and then playing catch-up once I got home. So here I am, playing catch-up on this little blog as well, my dears. This past weekend, Taylor headed out of town for a rugby game and I headed to my relative's for a mini-vacation. I drove over Friday, we trekked to the Hoggetowne Medieval Faire on Saturday and spent Sunday together on the 10-Acre Woods (what I like to call their property). Another post should be flying in shortly about just the Faire, so stay tuned!
Giving kisses before we get on the road! She had a Vet appointment before we could take off, so Taylor was kind and took these pictures for me.
Wearing Leopard in honor of my great-grandmother, Memire's birthday.
Pssst! Pippa is driving! Don't tell the puppy police that she hasn't gotten her license, though.
Playing with her second-cousin and her brother, Bandit. Yes, Bella was pushing her in the stroller.
Good morning! Trying to drink her mommy's coffee on Sunday.
Learning to slide. Wheeeee!
Learning to swing. Not very enthused about this one...
Princess riding her trike around. Pip was kind of scared of this.
Bella decided it was a much better idea to push Pippa in the wagon. Also, as I was taking this picture I forgot the word for that red thing with wheels that you pull. Leave it to the three year old to remind me of "wagon".
Making Valentine's with my Grandma KDK and the kiddos to send to the soldiers in my step-dad's office. All of the cards say "To: Our Heroes".
More to come as soon as I can re-save all of the Faire pictures to their correct locations. XO.

The Many Sleeping Positions of Philippa Rose

While it sounds like a lovely book title filled with romance, intrigue, and a little danger, it is actually just the fact about our little fluff-ball of joy we brought home on New Year's Day. Miss Philippa Rose aka Pippa aka Pipsqueak aka Pip, Pippy, Pipppppaaaa, rat chaser, Princess, pretty girl etc. loves to sleep. Most puppies do, but Pippa is different. She loves to sleep in the weirdest positions. Want some proof?

Everywhere we bring her, someone exclaims "Ohhhmygoshshe'ssocuteeeee!" usually in a baby voice, high-pitched and giggly. We took her to Petsmart the other evening and had to stop almost every aisle so someone could see her. They ask "What is she? She's just adorable, where did you get her? Is she going to stay that little!?"

Last night we headed to a friend's for a bonfire and made our way to an amazing restaurant that's open until 3am, Miss Pippa in tow. She was such a sweetie! We sat outside to eat and she sat in my lap the entire time, snoozing like no other. The people at the table next to us piped into our conversations over and over and eventually realized we had her. Guy-in-the-girl's-jacket, Girl-with-more-layers-on-than-necessary, and Klepto-stealing-things-from-the-restaurant-bathroom cooed and oohed and aahed over Pippa for probably 15 minutes, even telling me that they would love to steal her and take her home. Eventually, our waiter even noticed Pippa and laughed because we had been there almost an hour and he hadn't noticed her in the slightest.

Taylor and I are loving her immensely and are so happy to have her here with us. We started class last Wednesday and hated leaving her home alone even for just a couple hours. This week we'll have even more classes and less time with her, which may possibly make me cry. I know she's fine and well-taken care of, but I wish I could just keep her in my pocket everywhere I go. Yeah... I love this little furball that much.

Now to work on homework and whatnots for class, putting my little nose back to the grindstone. XO.

In the Christmas Spirit

In between packing for New York (yay 21 Before 21 list item!), getting our apartment puppy ready, and finishing last minute Christmas shopping and decorating, I've barely had time to think straight. I have, however, had just a few moments to throw together some songs for you. These are the songs I've been humming to get me through the Fall Semester stresses and ready for Holiday happiness! I hope you enjoy them as much as I have. Now back to wrapping I go- there is SO much love going into these gifts this year.

Also, enjoy this picture of the newest member of my family, already being enhanced to show her future love for the holiday season! Meet Miss Philippa Rose:

Bonjour mon chiot!

Enchante mes bichettes! Je m'appelle Charlotte! Or for all of you un-fancy people: Nice to meet you dears, I'm Charlotte!
I was born back in January to a Cocker Spaniel mommy and a Poodle-Chihuahua daddy (making me an adorable Cockapoo). I grew up in a house with my brothers and sisters and then took a roadtrip down to meet my new humans. I snuck into a dorm room and everything! My new home is very big, but I'm getting used to the stairs.
The first night I was home my humans put me into the bathtub! Look how silly they made me look:
How embarrassing! I did smell better at least, and that was pleasurable. I think next time I have a bubble bath I'll be buying some Pet Head or possibly splurging on some yummy John Paul Pet. They smell so good! Mommy says I need all of my puppy shots before I can go shopping though.
Luckily my Mommy went shopping for me. She bought an adorable collar for me, but we think it's magical because I always end up falling asleep when it's on me. I was also gifted with a pretty pink frisbee, some chewy sticks, a squeaky sheep, and a pink ropey toy.
Well it was very nice to meet you all! I will probably be taking over my fancy Mommy's blog in the future, so look forward to hear from me! I'll leave you with a few more pictures to fawn over:
With Mommy and Remi before my bath.
Eating a pansy in my yard. Miam Miam! as the French say.
Attacking my mommy. Sometimes we get silly and I lick her face.
Rawrrr! I was trying to eat Mommy's camera strap.
And this last one was taken by Mamma Dee. She thought I'd make a cute Wahine.
Enjoy! XOXO Charlotte
Oh and P.S. Excusez-moi for my bad grammar this evening. Mommy is still sleepy from the time change and is having a bit of difficulty translating my puppy French into English. RĂªves doux!
