I'm in the midst of a work/cleaning/packing/organizing/lazy procrastinating frenzy. I'm trying to do nine thousand things before The Big Move, and it's all getting a bit overwhelming. I'll update again when I have the time and mental capacity to do so. I'd leave you with a photograph of my room right now as evidence, but I'm way too embarrassed to do so. Instead, I'll link you to my Pinterest account so you can look at some of the pretty ways I've procrastinated..
This is like my room, but replace the balloons with clothing and boxes and packing junk, oh my!

Dear Florida,
Sometimes, I really miss you. Scratch that- all the time I really miss you.
Growing up there, I didn't really appreciate you. The beauty of sunny days, of always being able to wear flip-flops even in "winter", driving over the causeway to "beachside" and seeing the vast ocean unroll before my eyes. Every time I go back to visit I relish in the delight I get from just a single warm, sunny day, a single peek at the waves, a single toe dip in the cool water. I roll my windows down and crank my music up and think "Gosh, why did I ever move away from this place?" So really, Florida, this is an apology. I'm sorry I neglected you when I lived there and I'm sorry I didn't realize how beautiful you really are. Now that I'm here in Georgia, I miss you. I tell people about Melbourne and "The Beaches" as if you were a long lost friend, one I greatly loved but sadly moved away from. I'm proud of being a Florida Girl and being able to say I grew up in a place that most people will only vacation to. Melbourne may not be famous Miami or the Keys, but it is still Florida and there is still the ocean and the Sunshine State and I still love you.
This is getting a bit depressing, so I just want to tell you that I'M MOVING BACK! Not to the exact place, but I will soon enough be back in your loving, albeit very hot, Florida arms. I'll be rejoicing in the fact that I will never (and this is a fact) be more than 60 miles away from a beach at any given time. Despite my paleness, the beach will be a sight for sore eyes. Florida, I love you. And I cannot wait until we meet again.
All My Love, Skye.
XO.

Stealing is bad.
Which is why I'm gonna go ahead and link to all of the places I found images, stock, etc. for redoing my cutesy bloggy. Thanks goes out to all of these talented people for so kindly giving their work to people like me for free!

Pugly Pixel- So super cute and so many freebies!
MellowMint from deviantART.
And! I used Picnik and FotoFlexer to edit everything (bounced back and forth would be a better way of putting this). Both photo editing sites are free, they just have different features I like so I mix and match. Most fonts I use come free from DaFont or are found via the two editors. SO happy with how everything came out and can't even say how excited I am to start blogging again. I've neglected my baby for far too long. XO.

21 Before 21
Finally (Finally!) I've decided on twenty-one tasks I want to accomplish before my 21st birthday rolls around next March. A lot of things have occurred since March of this year and I've been horrendous to my poor blog, neglecting it until just yesterday. BUT! That shall change, I pinky promise. So here it is, the official (may possibly change again but probably not) list:
There ya go! Now just to wish and wish all of these lovely things into my life. Some are slightly easy and others take a lot more work, but, if I'm sure of anything, this shall turn out to be one exciting year! XOXO.
- Pet a llama.
- Go to Hogwarts.
- Gamble at a Casino.
- Buy and play a ukulele.
- Have a picnic.
- Go to St. Augustine.
- Plan my 21st Vegas Trip.
- Bake a rainbow layer cake.
- Get an iPhone.
- Go to NYC.
- Perfect one dinner recipe.
- Go to at least one big museum.
- See a fortune teller.
- Visit NASA.
- Finish my Ariel cross-stitch.
- Eat a yummy banana Split.
- All A’s and B’s in my classes.
- Find Sailor Moon on DVD.
- Camp in a tent.
- Revamp my clothing collection.
- Buy a Diana Lomo camera.

Here Goes..
Everything? Nothing? A lot?
So So So! many changes are happening at the moment that I can't even describe them all. Wonderful, amazing, fabulous, heart-attack-inducing, kickass, lovely changes! It's weird to finally take down my 110 in 2010 list but it is MUCH overdue. I'm trying to figure out my 21 before 21 list but narrowing things down is so terribly difficult. Perhaps I shall simply write a "Things-I-Want-To-Do-Sometime-In-The-Future" list?
Anyway, much is happening and I'm trying to stay on top of everything whilst keeping my head and heart and all in the right place. Looking forward to my next big moves.
XOXO.

Sweet Nothings
"People think a soul mate is your perfect fit, and that's what everyone wants. But a true soul mate is a mirror, the person who shows you everything that is holding you back, the person who brings you to your own attention so you can change your life.
A true soul mate is probably the most important person you'll ever meet, because they tear down your walls and smack you awake. But to live with a soul mate forever? Nah. Too painful. Soul mates, they come into your life just to reveal another layer of yourself to you, and then leave.
A soul mates purpose is to shake you up, tear apart your ego a little bit, show you your obstacles and addictions, break your heart open so new light can get in, make you so desperate and out of control that you have to transform your life, then introduce you to your spiritual master..."

Confessions of a Facebook Creeper
I have a confession.. I Facebook creep like no other. It always catches me when I'm on like, page ten of your Ex-BF's sister's half brother's girlfriend's photo page and I'm like "Uh Skye, how do you know these people?"
The other thing I stalk: Pandora. Yepp, your Pandora playlists are not safe when I'm around, er.. when I'm on the internet. Pandora (the Internet Radio that has become the soundtrack of my day-to-day life) has this neat little feature where you can see your friends on Facebook who also use Pandora (Don't ask me how they know all this, that's a little too stalker, even for me). It shows you any stations they've made and listened to and song they've liked or bookmarked or whatever. And to me? It's super creepy of me to like looking at what music other people are listening to, but I. Love. It.
I feel like you can learn so much about a person just by what music they listen to. I remember sitting in class ages and ages ago when iPod's first got big (Yeah yeah yeah, it was only like 5 years. Whatever.) and looking through everyone else's trying to interpret what every single artist on there meant. But now! Now I don't even have to steal someone's iPod, I can just creep on their Pandora. I always think it's funny when the kid you thought had weird taste in music has super cool bands bookmarked or the girl you assumed only listened to Top 40 stuff has an amazing list of stations. It reminds me that I don't really know people as well as I think I do and I shouldn't judge a book by its cover, however cliche that sounds. And it's really weird to think that the music I listen to while sleeping and getting a shower and doing my random everyday stuff might be the same music other people are hearing as they go about their days. Oh dear, creeper status rising.. Can't stop.. Must go talk to real people and play with Charlotte Belle..AHH.
I think it's a disease, but I'm still looking into it. I'll let you know what the Dr. says when he calls me back. Now to go listen to more Pandora and keep breaking stereotypes down one friend's station at a time. XO.

Blurry Year & Photographs that Make Me Smile
So much has happened this year that I feel like it was all a blur and went so fast and I'm finally now just sitting back and taking it all in. Which is must needed, trust me.
Things that keep me going (when the going gets a little crazy this time of year):
I feel like it's been so long since I've written that I've forgotten how to write for fun. My mind is hardwired now into MLA format and research papers, UGH. Time to rewire it for pretty words, inspiring photographs, and this dear little blog I've forgotten about. Some of my 110 in 2010 list is going to be crossed off in a minute, but I think I'm going to change my goals for next year to be 21 before 21, only because I can make more realistic goals and actually have the chance to cross them off. This years list was amazing, but a little too big for my britches.
Now to look up pictures of wondrous things and listen to my new favorite Pandora station (Mumford & Sons PLUS! Florence + the Machine= SO good!) Au revoir until the next time I rediscover this my loves. XO.
P.S. All A's and B's in my classes this semester equals one more crossed off my list! Yay!

Phi Mu! Hell Yeah!
Yayyyy!! I accomplished one of my biggest One Hundred and Ten in Twenty Ten goals! Rush week aka Formal Recruitment began September 8th with Orientation. We (Yadira and I) went into a room with about 50 girls, met our Pi Chi's and learned all the ins-and-outs of Rushing. Thursday night we went out with a few other PNM's (Potential New Members) and the Pi Chi's for dinner at Applebee's.
Friday night was the start of the Rush parties: Phi Mu, then Alpha Omicron Pi, then Delta Zeta. I had a ton of fun the first night and my nerves flew out the window. The only thing I was terrified of at that point was not being called back to Saturday night's parties.
These Phi Mu ladies are absolutely wonderful in every way. I'm so glad we chose each other and can't wait until my Phi time is over so I can say I'm their sister in Phi Mu!
Inductions were this weekend and Mamma and John (who is home safe and sound from Iraq!) came to watch the ritual. Again, it's all Top Secret and I can't divulge, but just know that it was beautiful and I'm so happy to be a part of this organization. Side Note: I got voted VP of Phi Class 2010!
Love love love and lots of Lion-y and Ladybug kisses,
XOXO

Night One Outfit
Night Two I went back to all three houses and had another amazing night meeting all the girls. At the end of it we had to write down our favorites in the order we wanted to go back to them on Pref night. I had a lot of awesome conversations, but I pretty much knew where I wanted to had back to... Night Two Outfit
Preference Night, or Pref night, was the final night before Bid Day and definitely the most exciting. We ventured off campus for the two parties, in my case DZ and then Phi Mu. I'm not gonna go into detail about the parties because I'm pretty sure they're kinda secret, but they were both amazing. At the end of the night we made Pref choices and waited until noon the next day to find out who picked us, too.Pref Night Outfit
And finally, after what seemed like forever, we got our bids! PHI MU PHI MU ALRIGHT! I was fourth to last to get my bid (they gave them one-by-one, randomly) and so worried I wouldn't get my first choice. And I ran and skipped into the room to meet my awesome Phi Class! Then we ALL ran out to meet our new sisters!
