This little blog of mine...

I'm gonna let it shine! (You're welcome for getting that tune stuck in your head!)

Just a quick note to mention that I managed to make myself a blog button. I am so very proud of it. With the help of a little editing and a lot of re-reading the tutorial on this site, combined with a slightly traumatizing adventure into my old Photobucket account so I had a place to host it (I exclaimed to Taylor "Ohhhh, I was so angsty in my youth!" Yeah, that bad), I've created a way for you to share your love for me! Vain, I know, but I have this grand scheme of having a wonderful blog one day that shall make it so I don't have to work a real job. Yeah yeah, every blogger dreams that, but I've recently been reminded that only you stand in the way of your dreams -so I'm getting myself excited about writing and blogging again. Also, here is Pippa under my bedside table:
Moral of the story, if you read this and have a blog, do me a favor and share my newly created button! It's right over there >>> And if you don't, then just keep reading, because that's all I want anyway -to share my little blog and my life with you. XO.

Sparkly Saturday!

With my equally fancy Mamma.
Alright, so it's techhhhnically not Saturday anymore, but I still felt like sharing; Our Saturday was a lovely array of fanciness. I finally took a day off of work and everything else. I awoke at noon and rolled out of bed and down the stairs. I spent the "morning" organizing my closet. It may not sound like the most relaxing thing ever, but it totally was for me. Walking into a neat, clean room is so relaxing. I feel like I'm so on top of it all now. (I'll have to add some fabulous photos!) And what better way to feel nice and relaxed than getting a shower with super yummy bath stuff from, where else? Lush.
Apres, I talked to my Beau for a while and then Mamma cooked our dinner:

Tres delicieuse! Eggs Benedict is my very favorite breakfast, but even better as dinner!
We began to watch Julie&Julia and Mamma began to make Vanilla Bean cupcakes. And those little sweet cakes? Absolutely delectable! I put extra pink sprinkles on mine, because I'm fancy. I went upstairs and made my bed, then crawled in and got comfy.
And today? I did a LOT of work. I took off yesterday, but that meant I worked 10 to 6 today instead. I watched the Superbowl while painting my toenails (walking contradiction, anyone?) and Who Dat!? the Saints won! Dudes, you don't even understand how white I sound when I say that!!
So let me show you a couple cute things that are totally Sparkly Saturday/Sunday worthy:

Tarina Taratino "Electric Koolade" necklace! It's so colorful! It's so hippie chic! It's AMAZING!
And then I was looking around the web and found this super cute song, so I had to share the lyrics. I'd share the song itself, but I honestly err.. didn't really like it. It was cute, but I thought the lyrics were more worthy of a better song? If that makes sense? Anyway, here goes. The song is called "Boats and Birds" by Gregory and the Hawk:
"If you'll be my star
I'll be your sky
You can hide underneath me and come out at night
When I turn jet black and you show off your light
I live to let you shine
I live to let you shine

But you can skyrocket away from me
And never come back if you find another galaxy
Far from here with more room to fly
Just leave me your stardust to remember you by

If you'll be my boat
I'll be your sea
A depth of pure blue just to probe curiosity
Ebbing and flowing and pushed by a breeze
I live to make you free
I live to make you free

But you can set sail to the west if you want to
And past the horizon till I can't even see you
Far from here where the beaches are wide
Just leave me your wake to remember you by"
 XOXO.

When You Wish Upon a Star,

Makes no difference who you are
Anything your heart desires
Will come to you. <3

Spring Semester began early Monday morning, so please excuse my lateness with updating. The final portion of my Winter trip was lovely; I spent the last few nights with Hunter and then headed up in my new car (!) to visit my grandmother. Mamma and I took a naughty side trip to LUSH in Orlando and coffee at the rest stop. We stayed in North Florida for two nights and then headed back home to our Peach State, only to find Brrrrr-y temperatures. My car has frosted over three out of four school evenings now, and I'm actually considering buying an ice scraper.
And speaking of school, I'm quite excited about all of the classes I am in. Monday/Wednesday is English in the morning and then Philosophy in the late afternoon. English shouldn't be too hard, but my teacher seems to prefer Southern American literature, which I'm not too big a fan of (Tennessee Williams is my exception). Oh! and my Philosophy teacher? He totally falls into the Philosopher category. I'm talking shaggy long grey hair, scruffy beard, a geometric patterned old man sweater and a blazer! I literally giggled to myself when he walked in the room and was so giddy I had to text Hunter and tell him right away.
Tuesday/Thursday are going to be my long, hectic days. 2D Design in the morning, French for dejeuner, and History to 1500 for late afternoon. 2D Design was terrifying yet extremely exciting. Our first project is about Abstraction through Simplification and (if I'm allowed) I'm going to use our university lampposts as my inspiration. French was.. intimidating. I'm in the second semester of it and they're beginning with Chapter Four, so I'm hoping I get my French book soon so I can try to review. (192$ is a lot of money right now!) I thoroughly enjoyed my History class and the teacher too. I'm SO tempted to call her Professor Moody (as in Mad-Eye Moody from Harry Potter)!

And lastttt but not least today, I'm going to share a link to a super cute blog that I stumbled upon while eating my lunch. Search through the pages and find her entries about "Of the Universe"; I adore some of the things that she says and absolutely relate to being a "walking contradiction"! I'm pretty sure I've used that exact phrasing before, too. Without further ado, I bring you Lemon Soda:

XOXO.
